Lavendula hybrid (Lavender) Essential Oil
Lavender essential oil is extracted from flowering tops of the plant, has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, analgesic, anti fungal, and anti-septic properties. Lavender is believed to stimulate the immune system to ease inflammation. It tones the skin and is useful for acne, oily skin, burns, sunburn, wounds, eczema, psoriasis and insect bites. In hair care, lavender helps balance oily or dry hair and scalp, soothes irritated scalp and stimulates the hair follicles to help foster hair growth.
For centuries lavender has been used for its beneficial effect on skin, soothing burns and wounds, stimulating the growth of skin cells, treating eczema and psoriasis. Lavender relieves tension with its soothing, calming and harmonizing effect on the nerves. It is used as an anti-depressant and the high linalool and linalyl acetate in lavender have been demonstrated to have anti-anxiety, stress reducing effects, and is effective for headaches, migraines and insomnia. Its floral and woody fragrance is great for stress relief and general relaxation.
Heliantus annuus (Organic Sunflower) Oil
Obtained from the milling of the seeds from the sunflower, sunflower oil is very high in essential fatty acids, as well as both vitamins A and E. Sunflower oil absorbs quickly, helping to moisturize, regenerate and condition the skin. Good for mature, sensitive and dry, damaged skin.
Ingredients: Heliantus annuus (Organic Sunflower) Oil, and Lavandula hybrida (Organic Lavender) Essential Oil.
Origin: France
Directions: Apply to wrists, neck, temples, pulse points. Blend with the other SALVE roll-ons to create your own unique perfume.
